One Bad Mother

One Bad Mother
#5 in my Fandom Rocks! series
Gouache and Mixed Media on Wood Panel
2 X 3 ft.

Why I painted Ellen Ripley:

So far, Ellen is the only unexpected subject in this series. I set out in my endeavor to paint her when I heard about Dreamweaver, a show in New York dedicated to Sigourney Weaver. The show is orchestrated by Geeks Out!, a LGBTQ rights group catering to the nerd community. All of the paintings in the show will be sold and the profits go to their cause. I just had to throw my hat in!

Cartoons!

Some little things I've done here and there lately.

The Good Dog

A piece I did in tribute to Neil Gaiman's dog Cabal, who passed away in January.  I follow Neil on Tumblr, and he's really fantastic, always willing to talk to and help out his fans.

All That Glitters Is Old

My final Free Stuff Friday winner.  Q: Favorite tv show?  A: The Golden Girls.
I loved making this piece SO much.  It was amazingly fun.

The Page of Rage

Commission for my friend Zac, of his Homestuck fan character, the Page of Rage.  I have to admit, I have never read Homestuck, so I am not all that sure of the significance of the aspect of rage.  I want to, but I just don't have the free time to read that long of a comic.  *le sigh*

Welp, that's all for now!
